A very Merry Christmas to you and your family. I hope you’re having or had such an awesome day so far! 🎄🥳

What a year it’s been hey, gosh I know for many of us it may not be the Christmas we were expecting or more so hoping for with all this crazy nonsense going on. I know it’s a lot easier said than done in a lot of cases, I know I’ve had a lot of my own frustrations and stress to deal with in the last few days. Having flown to the UK for a few days to spend Christmas with my family only to discover as soon as I landed, that we’ve been put into tier 4 lockdown.
The announcement came out literally while I was in the air…talk about flying into a shitstorm, sheesh!
🙈

Which means I don’t get to spend Christmas with most of my family who I was really looking forward to spending a lot of time with having not seen them for a year and knowing that they are just 30mins up the road.
And on top of that now finding myself stuck in the UK due to heavy travel restrictions unable to get back to my humble little floating home, which is a huge worry in itself as she is literally everything I have in this world, but thankfully some awesome friends are keeping a good close eye on her for me, but not to mention the further problems it causes as time ticks by with having my hands tied behind my back where it’s likely to put me right flat bang on the bones of my arse all over again with trying to make things work and make ends meet, (does anybody else feel like they constantly seem to get two steps forward only to get pushed three steps back the whole time, jinne it’s flipping frustrating and tiring hey…but press on, and press on we must!).
But thankfully I do get to enjoy mom’s home cooking for a while which I’m sure you’ll agree, I certainly can’t complain about that!
Although I do think I’m going to be about 10 kilos heavier by the time I actually get on a plane.
😂

Anyway, that’s my kak, I’m sure you’ve got yours as we all try to navigate through this storm…

Like I said, I know it’s a lot easier said than done in many cases, but it’s times like these that we’ve got to make the most of it in the best way that we can, given the circumstances and as incredibly frustrating and stressful as it can be at times.
After all, if there’s one thing this year has taught us, it is to appreciate the little bit that we do have, because the very real harsh reality is, it could be so much worse, and for some, it very much is, so maybe spare a thought for them.
If you need to, take a moment, take stock (Trust me, I’ve had to do a lot of this as well flip!) and show your current circumstances the flippen middle finger by making the most of it in the best way that you possibly can.

Lots of love to each and every one of you, a big massive virtual hug from me to you!

In the immortal words of our great South African saying… ONS MOET VASBYT!

Have an awesome one guys!
