In sailing there are many times you drop your anchor where it doesn’t hold, it begins to drag and you begin to slip backwards. Then you need to anchor up and reset it until it bites into the seabed and gives you good holding.
It’s something you get quite used to and also something you get better and better at dealing with. You just do it as it comes with the territory.
Such is the same with life. There are many times when you need to reset, recalibrate, readjust your angle or approach to find better firm holding. The less you worry about everything in between eg. beating yourself up about things and unnecessary upset that adds no value whatsoever, the better and smoother the entire process becomes where you find yourself moving forward a lot more efficiently in far less time because you don’t waste so much time on pause in messing around with unnecessary nonsense that only clouds and slows down the process.
Another great life lesson sailing life has taught me.
Good times!
