Port Soller, Mallorca…
I’ll never forget the first morning I arrived here. After a gruelling 21hr mentally and physically exhausting sail alone over from Ibiza, I pulled into the bay at 6am just as it was getting light…
I dropped the anchor and leaned against Rose Rambler’s rolled up headsail for a few minutes checking the anchor was set and noting the movement of the boat.
At one moment, I lifted my head half asleep and took in my surroundings, it was beautiful, as I stood there staring at the view, a great feeling came over me, I felt a very good feeling about this beautiful place, I felt it had so much to give, so much to offer me.
It was a very strange feeling, to say the least.
And as it turns out, it has done just that.
I only planned to be here for a very short visit, but due to various circumstances, that has turned out to be a lot longer, it seems to be keeping me here for some reason, every time I’ve wanted to leave for good, something causes me to stay.
There have been many ups and downs, but thankfully, more ups than downs.
It’s like a gift that just keeps giving, but the strangest thing is, I feel it hasn’t finished with me yet, like there is still more to come, something big, something crucial to this incredible journey and adventure I call life, like an important piece of the puzzle, a gut feeling, something amazing, I can feel it…
I’m not quite sure what it is exactly, but one thing is for certain, I’m excited to find out.
Have an amazing weekend everyone!
Make it a winner, most of all, make it one to remember!
