Those who have had the pleasure of living on one will know the pure love that develops between you and your sailboat.

It is a bond that others may never fully understand.

They are your home and your place of safety when the world is raging outside. She is your everything in this world and you are hers.

Your heart and soul goes into them, you merge and become one, one protecting the other through all the calms and all the storms.

She takes you places you could never have ever dreamed of before she takes you there. She changes you, she builds you up, she makes you strong and she makes you feel like the two of you could conquer the world.

You trust her with your life and she trusts you with hers, as she cradles your fragile existence each and every day in a place that you would not survive even a few hours alone without her.

And it is that one statement alone that the unbreakable bonds of unconditional love and trust are built between a captain and his boat.

Every time I return from shore, this view fills my heart with warmth and grace as a smile beams from the inside upon my face.
