It’s a crucial time, working sunrise to sunset, with no time to spare

When the days are long and hard, when you’re working from sunrise to sunset, using every available bit of daylight that you have, then still carry on working late into the night getting Rose Rambler organised and sorted, so she’s ready to rock and roll.

A few days ago while I was polishing a boat, I got asked by a lady how on Earth am I coping slaving away working in this heat?
As I bent myself upright, sweat pouring down my face and stinging the hell out of my eyes, I looked up and smiled, “I’ve got to grin and bear it, cause there’s just no other way” she then asked how do I do it?
The answer is simple… I simply ask myself how much do I want my freedom? How much do I want to achieve what I want to achieve and to reach the objectives that I’ve set for myself? To get out there, having succeeded in the challenge, reach the goal I’ve set and enjoy some time out on the water, to experience something that is most important to me… Freedom.

If things happen beyond my control that prevents me from achieving that goal, I can accept that, but what I will not accept, is me being the cause of failure, without having or knowing I’ve used every bit of my ability and resources to make that happen.
If there is one thing this year has taught me, is to use up every inch of opportunity and resource, and work within all the confines or bounds of the space that I’m in, in every possible way.
Without giving much time or thought to how constricted or restricted things have become from what was previously “normal”, it’s about working with what you have, within the confines of the realm that you presently find yourself in, the reality of what currently is.
Anything beyond that simply doesn’t or no longer exists, and spending time thinking about it is pointless or just a waste of time and energy.

Remember we as humans don’t spend our lives moaning cause birds have wings to fly and we don’t and just give up, no, what we did do is worked within the realms of the abilities we have been given, the resources we have to find a way… And built flipping aeroplanes so that we can also fly.
Worry not about what is beyond your control, focus only on and fully work with what is within your control, you may be amazed at what may be able to achieve for yourself.

This mindset has been paramount and key in dealing with stress and anxiety throughout this time, and been a tremendous help in remaining calm, sharp and focused throughout. One thing is for sure, this time/this year has taught me a hellova lot, some extremely valuable lessons and experiences that I’m incredibly grateful for, things that will no doubt help and carry me way into the future.

Tell you what, I’ve never been so constantly tired and exhausted in my life, but the good thing is…

I’m getting very close now…

Just want to say a massive thanks to everyone who has provided me with every opportunity so far to help make it all happen, as well as everyone who keeps supporting and cheering me on, you guys are the best! Massive love to every one of you! You guys are amazing!
